I’m Tracy, the artist and owner of Crescent Moon Calligraphy.  I am married with two beautiful boys, two lovely daughters in law and two precious granddaughters.  I’m a huge sports fan and love watching football, hockey and college basketball, especially my beloved Kansas Jayhawks. 

A two-hour modern calligraphy workshop began my obsession with this ancient art.   I enjoyed it so much, I couldn’t wait to finish working so I could get home, pull out my nib and ink and unwind forming strokes and letters.  My friends have more hand lettered bookmarks than they will ever use!  After several years, classes, and hours upon hours of practice, I decided to pursue a career in this elegant art and Crescent Moon Calligraphy was born.

What began out of a love of calligraphy has blossomed and branched out into custom invitation design, watercolor home and venue portraits, bottle painting, engraving and embossing for both studio commissions and live events.  I am honored and humbled to be able to do what I love and create unique and treasured keepsakes for my clients.

I am a member of the Dallas Calligraphy Guild and IAMPETH (International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting.)

When I am not writing, drawing or painting, I might be decorating my home, taking a walk through the charming historic district in downtown McKinney, reading a book or watching a sporting event.  And more often than not, a very creamy cup of coffee or a cocktail will be involved!
